World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day is recognised on October 10th each year.  In 2021 the focus is ‘What works for me’ showing that we can all do little things to improve our mental wellbeing.

These little things can make a big difference and help us live a happier, healthier life and be able to cope better with life’s challenges.

The past 18 months have been difficult and we have all responded to this in different ways.  This makes it really important for us to look after our mental wellbeing, now more than ever.

You can start by creating your own Mind Plan and taking the Every Mind Matters quiz. By answering 5 simple questions you will be given an action plan, tailored to you, giving you tips to help you deal with stress and anxiety, sleep better, boost your mood and feel more in control. Why not join the 3.4 million people who have already created a Mind Plan and taken a step to improving their mental health?

Have found the pandemic has had a impact on how you are feeling? Perhaps you are feeling worried about money, anxious about restrictions easing or worried about COVID.  You can find advice and support on the Every Mind Matters COVID-19 hub.

However you are feeling, why not set aside a few minutes this World Mental Health Day to start thinking about how you can improve your own wellbeing or what you can do to help and support others.
